Giles Automotive, Inc., established in March 1982 by Robert E. Giles, Robert L. Giles, Jr., and Perry M. Giles, boasts a rich automotive legacy. Rooted in a family history of automotive ventures, the Giles Family has been a significant presence in the industry since the nineteen twenties.

In 1970, Robert L. Giles, Jr. and Perry M. Giles acquired a Volkswagen dealership in Texas City, Texas, later expanding to include the Volvo franchise in 1974. In 1980, presented with an opportunity for a Volkswagen dealership in Lafayette, Louisiana, the Giles family conducted thorough research and identified Lafayette as an optimal location. This led to the establishment of Giles Automotive in Lafayette, featuring Volkswagen, Porsche, and Audi lines.

Since its inception in 1982, Giles Automotive has grown into a prominent auto dealership, offering Volvo, Subaru, Nissan, and Hyundai vehicles. The business has also expanded to include a Nissan point in Opelousas and a Volvo point in El Paso.

We engage in ongoing service efforts—including our monthly Pay it Forward segment—and support organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club of Acadiana, Hunters for the Hungry, Acadiana Animal Aid, and Dreams Come True of Louisiana.
